Crema — Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 23, 2026 · Version 1.0

Crema is a coffee-brewing journal for Android and iOS, published by Multiplatforge. This policy describes what data the app handles and where it lives.

What Crema stores

Crema works without an account and without sign-in. The data you create in the app is the only data it handles:

  • Bean library entries — bean name, roaster, origin, roast level, process, and your free-text tasting notes.
  • Brew journal entries — brew method, dose, yield, water temperature, duration, grind setting, your rating, free-text notes, and creation timestamps.
  • Display preferences — a handful of visual settings that never leave your device.

Where your data goes

All of your data is stored locally on your device, in the app's private storage. The current version of Crema does not transmit your data off your device: the app includes a cross-device synchronisation engine, but in this release it is configured to reach only a non-production development endpoint that is not accessible from your device, so no data leaves it.

Crema collects no personal identifiers: no name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, audio, device identifiers, or advertising ID. The app contains no advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs. Your data is never sold and never shared.

The app requests a single Android permission — Internet access — used by that synchronisation engine. Before synchronisation to a real server is enabled in a future release, this policy will be updated first, and the Play data-safety declaration revised accordingly.

Retention and deletion

Your data remains on your device until you delete entries in the app or uninstall it. Crema opts out of Android device backups, so your journal is not copied to any backup service.

Your rights (GDPR)

Crema is published by Multiplatforge, Tours, France — the data controller under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, and data portability. Because your data never leaves your device in this release, you exercise these rights directly in the app — viewing, editing, or deleting entries at any time. For any privacy question or request, contact us at [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).

Changes

If Crema's data practices change, we will update this policy and revise the effective date below before the change takes effect.
